Juno Arledge never saw aging as something to fight. “I think of it more as evolving,” she says, her voice calm, assured. At 63, she moves with the energy of someone half her age. Her secret? Not anti-aging creams or intense workouts—but what she puts on her plate.
For Juno, food is more than fuel. It’s the foundation for how she wants to live the rest of her life—strong, clear-minded, and joyful. “I started paying attention to longevity foods in my early fifties,” she explains. “Not just because I wanted to live longer, but because I wanted to feel better while doing it.”
She didn’t jump into a radical diet. Instead, she slowly built her meals around what she calls “lifelong ingredients”—those rich in fiber, healthy fats, and plant compounds that support the body’s natural repair systems. Think lentils, leafy greens, olive oil, turmeric, wild berries. “They’re not magic,” she says, “but they work over time.”
Juno still enjoys a glass of wine now and then. She’ll bake with her grandchildren and never turns down a piece of dark chocolate. “Balance is the key,” she smiles. “I’m not perfect. But I’m consistent.”
She says the real shift came not from what she stopped eating, but what she added in. Her energy returned. Her digestion improved. She even noticed her memory becoming sharper. “It’s not about staying young,” she adds. “It’s about feeling present at every age.”
