Ayla York’s Weekly Clean Eating Chart for Newbies

When Ayla York first started eating clean, she felt totally lost. “I knew I needed to change my habits, but I had no idea where to start,” she remembers. Every blog she visited listed 100 tips. Every video had different rules. It was overwhelming.

So she grabbed a piece of paper, drew seven boxes, and wrote down one simple goal for each day of the week.

That homemade chart became her foundation. “I didn’t try to eat perfectly,” she says. “I just tried to do one better thing each day.”

Monday was about water—drinking more, not soda. Tuesday meant adding a vegetable to lunch. Wednesday, skipping late-night snacks. She wasn’t cutting out everything she loved; she was just building new habits, slowly and sustainably.

That chart grew into a weekly ritual. She’d check in every Sunday and adjust it based on what felt good or what didn’t work. Some weeks she focused on sleep and hydration. Other weeks, she tried new recipes or practiced mindful eating.

“Clean eating isn’t about perfection,” Ayla says. “It’s about attention. Paying attention to how your body responds, and being kind when you mess up.”

Today, Ayla helps other beginners simplify their journey, starting with the same approach: one week, one chart, one goal at a time.
