Isla Dune’s Plant-Based Plan for Anti-Inflammatory Relief

When Isla Dune began experiencing chronic joint pain in her late twenties, doctors gave her a list of medications and very few answers. “It felt like I was being told to manage the symptoms, not the cause,” she says.

Frustrated, she began researching inflammation and its links to diet. The more she learned, the more curious she became about a plant-based lifestyle. Not as a quick fix, but as a long-term shift.

She eased in, swapping processed snacks for fruit, reducing added sugars, and cooking more at home. Her meals became colorful—rich in leafy greens, berries, legumes, and anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric and ginger.

It wasn’t about being perfect. She still had days where she missed her old comfort foods. But over time, something changed. The aches started fading. Her skin improved. She had more energy.

“The biggest shift wasn’t physical,” Isla says. “It was mental. I felt empowered.”

Now, her meals are simple but healing—lentil stews, roasted vegetables, fresh herbs, and whole grains. She still enjoys treats but chooses ones that love her body back. “Plant-based eating didn’t just change my diet,” she says. “It changed how I listen to my body.”
